Friends in Deed is an all volunteer organization with no paid employees. With the help of our over 150 volunteers, we provide all of our services at no charge to residents of Green Valley and the surrounding community.
Our front desk volunteers handle a variety of tasks. They are the focal point of Friends In Deed and are trained to help clients select the right kind of medical equipment.
We have volunteers who use their own vehicle to provide clients with transportation to medical appointments. We also have volunteer drivers who are trained to operate our wheelchair van or to drive our eleven passenger van.
Volunteers staff the transportation phone desk and match clients with volunteer drivers. Nurses volunteer their time in our blood pressure screenings. All of the equipment donated to and used by Friends in Deed is maintained to the highest standards by a capable group of volunteers.
